ChillScan Alternatives, Honestly
There are a bunch of good tools for checking an AI-built app before launch. They do different jobs. Here's what each one does, what it costs, and when it's a better pick than ChillScan.
Facts below come from each tool's own public pages, as of October 15, 2026. Names are trademarks of their respective owners; we're not affiliated with any of them. Pricing and features change, so click through before you decide. Spot something out of date? Let us know and we'll fix it.
Where ChillScan fits
ChillScan is a quick external check of your live site. It looks at what anyone on the internet can see, so it doesn't read your source code or test logged-in flows. That's the trade-off for zero setup.
| Signup to scan | None. Paste a URL. |
|---|---|
| What it needs | Just your live URL. No repo access, no code upload. |
| Price | Free scan, or a $12 one-time Deep Scan. No subscription, nothing renews. |
| What it checks | Security, plus SEO and performance in the same report. |
| Language | Plain English, with a copy-paste AI fix prompt in the Deep Scan. |
Vibe App Scanner (VAS) ↗
A URL-based scanner for deployed AI-built apps, with a strong Supabase and Firebase focus.
- Scans your live app from its public URL. Its site lists exposed secrets in JS bundles, missing Supabase RLS policies and Firebase Security Rules, weak password policies, auth issues, security headers and source map exposure.
- First scan free: score, issue counts and one finding shown in detail, with the rest locked.
- Go: $29/month (20 scans, up to 3 projects, weekly monitoring). Pro: $49/month (150 scans, a weekly deep scan that logs in and tests authenticated access, daily monitoring, up to 10 projects).
Better fit when: You ship often and want repeat scans, monitoring, or logged-in testing of your Supabase or Firebase backend.
Continuum (Leak Check / Ship Check) ↗
A free one-minute surface scan, with a human-reviewed paid report as the next step.
- Leak Check: free, no signup. Seven checks on your live URL: reachability and SSL, auth flow, payment path, secrets in the client bundle, Supabase exposure, broken links and performance, each rated green, yellow or red.
- Ship Check: $299 flat, a ranked report reviewed by a senior engineer, delivered in about 24 to 48 hours after repo access (per their page).
Better fit when: You want a person to review your actual code and findings before launch.
Code & Trust ↗
A software studio that publishes a vibe-coding security checklist and a free launch-check questionnaire, and offers app cleanup and production support.
- Free: a launch checklist covering permissions, credentials, payments, input and abuse limits, backups and rollback, and post-launch ownership, plus a ten-question launch check.
- Paid help is scoped per project; see their site for details.
Better fit when: You need engineers to fix, finish or maintain the app, not just a report.
CheckVibe ↗
A security platform for developer teams: live-app scanning plus code, pull request, cloud and monitoring features.
- Scans your live app (100+ checks), and can connect GitHub/GitLab and Supabase for code, dependency, secret and backend (RLS) audits. Also lists PR reviews, AutoFix pull requests, uptime monitoring, threat detection and an MCP server.
- Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Starter $24/month, Pro $49/month; Team Basic $25/seat/month and Team Advanced $50/seat/month, sold in blocks of 5 seats (per their pricing page).
Better fit when: You're a team that wants continuous scanning, PR reviews and monitoring in one subscription.
Vibe Check (vibecheck.day) ↗
A free community launch-readiness checklist and scanner from The Process House.
- Free, no signup. 408 checks across 42 areas, covering security plus performance, technical SEO, billing, testing, CI/CD and more.
- An instant ZIP scan that runs in your browser (code isn't uploaded), plus a deep audit where you run their prompt in your own AI agent and upload the CSV it produces.
- It works from your code, so you need your project files, not just a URL.
Better fit when: You have your codebase handy and want a large, free checklist across the whole app.
When another tool is a better fit
- You want your code scanned (SAST, dependencies, secrets in your repo): try CheckVibe or Vibe Check. ChillScan only sees your public site.
- You want ongoing monitoring and alerts: VAS or CheckVibe paid plans. ChillScan is a one-off snapshot. Re-scan whenever you ship.
- You want a human expert to review it: Continuum's Ship Check, or Code & Trust if you also need the fixes done for you.
- You're a team that needs PR reviews, seats and SSO: CheckVibe's Team plans list those (SSO is on Team Advanced).
- You need logged-in or permission testing (can user A see user B's data?): an external URL scan can't fully cover that. Use a tool that tests with logins, or a manual review.
Honestly, these tools stack well. A free external scan first, then a deeper code or human review if something looks off, is a solid way to go.
